Family Photo Archive - circa 1940

While in Toronto at my grandmother's she happened upon an old brown envelope with about half a dozen 120mm negatives. It was an amazing surprise, to both of us, as she had no knowledge of their being any left in the home.

That's my grandfather on the left, in his late teens. in August 2008 he died, and I never got to know him very well. Much of what I learn now are of stories, and of course, photographs.

Pappa and I were estranged, but he told my Nan after seeing me a couple years ago (and for the last time) that he was pleased with the man I had become.

That's all any grandchild could ever ask for.
